Changes to the 2025 Nationals
This year at Nationals we will implement a modified double elimination for the Sanbon Kumite divisions. We understand coming to the National Championship is a serious financial commitment, we want to make sure athletes get as much time on the tatami as possible. If a division has at least 6 athletes, all competitors in the Sanbon Kumite division should have a minimum of two fights.
Additionally this year we are introducing the 12-15 year old style specific kata divisions.
For our inclusive athletes we are adding Unified Team Kata, where a inclusive athlete and their partner do team kata together.
